Today, all Jefferson County Public Libray locations will be closed due to adverse weather conditions.
Your safety is very important to us, so please stay warm inside and don't worry about returning items that are due today. We will waive any late charges that are accrued while we are closed.
After a 10-week closure, the Standley Lake Library will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, with a day of festive activities. Patrons who have missed their library are encouraged to drop by and see the exciting changes, including more self-checkout units, additional computers, a parent’s study room and a new Teen area. Music, balloon artists, face painters and refreshments will be on hand!
Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library will be holding a Mini Whale of a Used Book Sale March 21 and 22, which will feature more than 2,000 books, DVDs, videos, CDs and audiobooks for sale. Proceeds will benefit Library children’s literacy projects.

The Library has surplus camera equipment for sale. Please join us on Friday, March 20, 2009, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the meeting room of the Belmar Library, located at 555 S. Allison Parkway in Lakewood City Commons. For more information on the sale, please contact Karen Maguire at 303-275-6235. Cash or check only. Proceeds will go to support Library programs for children and adults.
