JCPL Staff Art Exhibit at the Belmar Library in July
Make sure you get down to the Belmar Library in July to see a very special collection of art showcasing the unique artistic abilities of our own employees. 

The second annual Jefferson County Public Library Staff Art Exhibit will include a variety of works. Stop in to see various piece of art from oil paintings to jewelry throughout the library.

You won't want to miss the exceptional and varied artistic talents of JCPL employees!

Baby Sign and Read Helps You Communicate with Your Baby!

Parents, here’s an opportunity for you and your baby to learn some simple signs in American Sign Language to help you communicate. Signing has also been shown to help build your baby’s vocabulary, encourage a love of reading and improve the ability to learn a second language.

 

This program is designed for parents and caregivers with babies six to 24 months. There will be two sessions of three themed classes each. Tickets are required. Register for Session 1 now or Session 2 beginning July 1.

Intercambio is Coming to the Belmar Library
Improve your Spanish or English skills while helping outhers in a friendly atmosphere. Intercambio is not an instructional class, but an opportunity to chat and improved your Spanish/English skills through conversation.

Pratique inglés o español y ayude a los demás que están aprendiendo en us ambiente amable. Están bienvenidos los principantes.

Local Author Kent Haruf
Eventide by Kent HarufColorado Native Kent Haruf will be at Standley Lake on June 7 from 7-8:30 p.m. for a special program. He'll be doing a reading, Q&A and will meet fans.

If you've read The Tie That Binds, Plainsong or Eventide, you won't want to miss this unique opportunity to see this prominent author.

Sign Up for Summer Reading!
Summer Reading Club is officially underway! If you have't signed up yet, make sure you get over to your local library today! Kids, teens and adults are challenged to read throughout the summer to win cool prizes. Not only that, but there are tons of cool programs happening at the Library all summer.

The Kids' Summer Reading Club, "One World, Many Stories," will take children on a journey through the ancient craft of origami, drum circles, legends, music and more.

Teens will explore their inner SELF: Summer. Enjoy Living Free! with crafting, dancing, chocolate and drumming.

And adults can escape with Novel Destinations and the chance to win an eReader!
