After a 10-week closure, the Standley Lake Library will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, with a day of festive activities. Patrons who have missed their library are encouraged to drop by and see the exciting changes, including more self-checkout units, additional computers, a parent’s study room and a new Teen area. Music, balloon artists, face painters and refreshments will be on hand!
Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library will be holding a Mini Whale of a Used Book Sale March 21 and 22, which will feature more than 2,000 books, DVDs, videos, CDs and audiobooks for sale. Proceeds will benefit Library children’s literacy projects.
