Power Check Energy Meters Now Available for Checkout

JCPL is now partnering with Xcel energy to provide Power Check Energy Meters for checkout.  Power Check meters measure the voltage, electricity cost and electric consumption of common household appliances to help you learn more about electricity use in your home and control your energy costs.

Meters can be placed on hold and checked out just like other library items.  Meter kits include everything you need to get started, including instruction booklets in both English and Spanish.  To learn more about this program, and to request a meter, check out JCPL's Environment Page at
