Library Foundation Recognizes Volunteers
The Jefferson County Library Foundation hosted its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on Saturday, April 14 at the Lakewood Cultural Center. Volunteers gathered for a catered lunch and awards presentation, followed by a showing of Camelot.

In an effort to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, JCPL and the Foundation presented three awards at the Recognition Event that will be given annually to individuals that have impacted JCPL and the Foundation with their service.

The JCPL Volunteer Leadership Award, recognizing a volunteer who embodies a spirit of selfless dedication and commitment to Jefferson County Public Library, was presented to Shaundra Rana, a longtime volunteer at the Arvada Library.

Richard Umsted, a Columbine Library and Foundation volunteer, was given the Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing a volunteer whose contributions of time and talent over the past year have had a positive impact on the quality of programs at Jefferson County Public Library.

The Elena Joyce Grissom Lifetime Service Award, recognizing a volunteer whose enduring contributions of time and talent have had a significant impact at JCPL and JCLF, was awarded to Ben Radecki, a dedicated Foundation volunteer.

Congratulations to these individuals and a giant thank you to all our volunteers - we couldn't do what we do without you!
