The Library will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage month this Saturday, Oct. 4 from 1:30-4 p.m. at the Arvada Library. Fun, food and entertainment for the whole family!

Dance and sing along with The Rick Garcia Band and Luisa Mendoza live on stage in Olde Town Square, just west of the Arvada Library.

Characters and tales come alive during Spanish-language storytimes inside the Arvada Library, plus Denver author Manuel Ramos reads selections from his mystery crime fiction novels.

Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15-Oct. 15, celebrates the independence of seven Latin American countries. The observation started in 1968. By U.S. Census Bureau estimates, more than 44 million people in the United States are of Hispanic origin. That's about 14 percent of us!
