Cool City Classic Car Cruise this Friday

Cool City Classic Car Cruise travels through Manitowoc and Two Rivers. Cruise leaves Silver Creek Park in Manitowoc and ends at Neshotah Park in Two Rivers, nearly 400 cars participated in this cruise in 2007.

Cruisers assemble at Silver Creek Park beginning at 4 pm and the cruise leaves at 6 pm. Entertainment, food and refreshments available in Neshotah Park, 794-1351 or 794-1482, www.trmainstreet.org

Creepy, Crawly Critters!

Go on an insect safari and meet some critters from Woodland Dunes Nature Center. During this program you will have some close encounters and learn why insects and other animals are important for a healthy planet. Weather pending, part of the program will take place outside. No registration required.

Truly Remarkable Loon, Coming Soon!
Wednesday, July 16 6:00 PM


Come be amazed by comedy juggler Truly Remarkable Loon! Balls, bean bags, clubs, flaming torches—there isn’t much that Loon can’t handle. Plenty of laughter, audience participation and fun for the whole family; this program will be held outdoors on the library’s front lawn so bring your lawn chairs and blankets! In the case of rain, this program will be moved indoors. 


Immediately following the program, the Two Rivers Recreation Department will host a Kid’s Night with fun games, music and prizes.

Edible Fear Factor TOMORROW!!

Thursday, June 19th at 1:00 pm!

Registration required.

How’s your stomach?  Do you think you could eat Sardines? Jell-O & ketchup? Could you drink a glass of clam juice?  How about a chocolate covered cricket or a sour cream and onion meal worm? Come compete with other teens in 6th-12th grade in the library’s Edible Fear Factor—I Dare You!  Prizes for the teens who can eat anything.

Great Fun with Tom Pease!!!

Tom Pease performed in Lester Public Library's front yard yesterday!

Over 300 kids, parents and librarians participated by singing, clapping and yes, showing off their belly buttons!

Thunder on the Lakeshore

The summer season for fantastic events in Manitowoc County is well under way!

Last weekend was 'Thunder on the Lakeshore' airshow held at the Manitowoc County Airport. Even though the two-day event was shortened due to fog on Sunday, the show on Saturday was amazing!

S.S. Badger Wisconsin Coast Tour
Saturday, May 31st, the S.S. Badger carried 500 passengers up and down the Wisconsin coast.

Arriving Back to Port

Local cruise aboard the historic S.S. Badger on beautiful Lake Michigan. Big ship, party atmosphere, and a nice day - you can't beat this for fun in Manitowoc County Wisconsin!

'The S.S. Badger is unusual in that it is a registered historical site in two states. The Michigan Historical Commission and the Wisconsin Historical commission each named the Badger as a registered historical site in 1997'. (from Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Badger )
