The Two Rivers Historical Society has recently acquired two Lester Bentley Paintings.

Two Rivers Historical Society, History Museum, 1810 Jefferson Street,

Housed in the old St. Luke Convent, this museum features many church-related artifacts as well as a couple of special collections of interest.

Last Saturday night, March 29th, Two Rivers celebrated what would have been local artist Lester Bentley's 100th birthday. Music, wine, cake and a sing-a-long in the gallery made for a beautiful evening at the Hamilton Community House in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
The MacDowell Chorus provided music.
The 'Girl in the Red Coat' was unveiled.
In remembrance of portrait artist and local legend Lester Bentley.

City Council passed a resolution honoring Two Rivers native and nationally known artist Lester Bentley for his contributions to the culture of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and the Nation as portrait artist.
City Council President Mark Matthews, Lester Bentley Committee Member Nan Webster, Lester Bentley Committee Member Gail Fox, and City Manager Greg Buckley
Also noted at last night's City Council Meeting was the Governor's proclamation designating March 29th as Lester Bentley Day in the state of Wisconsin.
The McDowell Choir will perform in a celebration on March 29th at the Two Rivers Community House marking what would have been Bentley's 100th birthday.
