The Two Rivers City Council held a special meeting on Monday, March 24, focusing on the 17th Street Bridge.
This 6:00 PM meeting included a forum for public input, and was broadcast live on Charter Cable Channel 19.
The deteriorated condition of this bridge presents a major infrastructure investment decision that must be made by the City Council.
Now is the time for input from the community...
City Manager's recommendation: Commit to a New Bridge and Move Forward
"I strongly recommend that the City make a commitment to proceeding with the full design of a new bridge, and get on with this project, replacing the bridge in 2010-11."
City Council approved, on a 6-3 vote, to proceed with engineering design services, the first step in moving this project forward.
Two Rivers City Manager Greg Buckley can be contacted by calling 920-793-5532, or by e-mailing grebuc@two-rivers.org.

Yesterday, March 19th, marked my first year anniversary as Lester Public Library's director. It was also my first year as a library director, period. I have learned so much this past year and intend to keep learning every day. I am fortunate to have landed in Two Rivers, its natural beauty and the people make this a wonderful place to live. Not to mention the library enjoys solid support from the entire community!
Thanks everybody and here's to many more!

We invite our patrons to participate in our We the People Bookshelf, Pursuit of Happiness, displays through March.
Adults can pick out their favorite books and topics and put them on display and watch them get checked out and read by friends and neighbors.
Kids can draw what makes them happy and turn it in to a librarian who will then put it on display for everyone to enjoy!
