The California Board of Environmental Safety is accepting comments regarding setting fees related to hazardous waste disposal. The proposed fees include a Facility Fee, Generation & Handling Fee, and Environmental Fee. These proposed rules will appear 19 September at https://oal.ca.gov/emergency_regulations/Emergency_Regulations_Under_Review/ . The proposal may also be reviewed at the Modesto Library.

Dept Toxic Substances Public Notice Increasing Violation Penalties
The California Department of Substances Control has released a Public Notice and Comment Period concerning a proposed regulation to increase the maximum administrative penalty for hazardous waste violations. DTSC will hold public hearings 29 March from 9am-12pm in Chatsworth and 29 March from 9am-12pm in Sacramento.

Grayson Road Former Firing Range Removal Action Plan
The Departmenet of Toxic Substances Control released a draft for review regarding the Removal Action Workplan regarding the Grayson Road Former Firing Range. A public comment period will last from July 18 to August 18, 2018, where the public is encouraged to review the draft and provide feedback for consideration before the plan's approval.

Comments no later than August 18 can sent to: Gregory Ruiz, Project Manager, DTSC Cal Center Office, 8800 Cal Center Dr., Sacramento, CA, 95826 or by email to Gregory.Ruiz@dtsc.ca.gov.
