Dept Toxic Substances Public Notice Increasing Violation Penalties
The California Department of Substances Control has released a Public Notice and Comment Period concerning a proposed regulation to increase the maximum administrative penalty for hazardous waste violations. DTSC will hold public hearings 29 March from 9am-12pm in Chatsworth and 29 March from 9am-12pm in Sacramento.

US Dept Interior Releases Draft EIR for Long-Term Water Transfers
The United States Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation has released a draft revised environmental impact report for long-term water transfers to Central Valley Project contractors.
