Ahoy! Treasure Reading
Today is the last day of school and tomorrow is the kick-off for this year’s summer reading program, Treasure Reading. Children’s librarian, Janice Brehio, has packed the day with fun things to excite everyone about reading all summer. There is a treasure hunt in the library, face painting with Judy the Clown and storytelling with Simon Brooks. For all the information go to: http://www.newport.lib.nh.us/srp.html or call the library at 863-3430. You can sign up anytime, but the first 100 participants who successfully complete the treasure map get a bandana fit for a pirate.

Tired of Automated Phone Trees?
When you call a customer service, are you confused about what button to push? When I call my credit card company or the phone company my need never matches the topics of the various numbers they want me to push. Now, there is a way to get a person on the line. Last week we added the gethuman website to our recommended sites. The most popular part of the gethuman website is the gethuman database of secret phone numbers and codes to get to a human when calling a company for customer service. So the next time you need to actually talk to someone look at: http://www.gethuman.com/
