I hope everyone will make a toast to Sarah Hale at Thanksgiving dinner. Sarah is the mother of Thanksgiving. She lobbied presidents, senators, congressmen and governors for almost two decades in her mission to make Thanksgiving a national holiday. For a proper Victorian lady who never spoke in public, she managed with her pen to change lives. Here's to Sarah.
