Signs of Spring
While Midwesterners battle ice storms and snowdrifts, blue skies, tulips, and ornamental plum trees in bloom suggest that spring is just around the corner here in Monterey. The Library has a fresh coat of paint, and soon we will have improved exterior signage as well, thanks to the work of the Library Board of Trustees, the Architectural Review Committee and generous donations from Library supporters. Four signs are planned: a painted sign on the south wall; a larger address sign at the north corner; a marquee with Library hours and program information mounted on a north-facing buttress; and a large banner with Library hours hanging from the terrace, visible from Parking Lot C. We hope that these signs will make it easier for first-time customers to find us, and make it easier for everyone to determine the best days and times to visit the Library this spring!
