Best Chocolate Cookie/Brownie Contest

Does your best chocolate cookie or brownie have what it takes?  The Friends of the Monterey Public Library will hold their annual Best Chocolate Contest in conjunction with their annual Chocolate & Wine Tasting benefit.  This year prizes will be awarded in three categories: Best Chocolate Chip Cookie, Best Brownie and Most Original Chocolate Cookie.  To enter  1)  Bring two dozen of your entry on a disposable plate and a copy of the recipe to the Monterey Public Library Help Desk on Thursday, February 17, between 10 a.m and 4 p.m.  2)  Do not put your name on either the plate or the recipe.  You will sign in and receive a number identifying your entry.  3)  Entries will be judged on taste, appearance, texture, originality and the amount of chocolate.  4) Winners will be announced at the Chocolate & Wine Tasting event on February 18.  5)  There will be a prize for each category and an honorable mention. You may enter as many times as you would like.
