Sightings in the Library and Down the Street
Seen in the Library just yesterday were lions, tigers, bears, princesses and ballerinas! It was our traditional procession of very cute and cleverly costumed toddlers and pre-schoolers parading through the Library after the annual Halloween Storytime. What fun! A refreshingly "green" activity was sighted just this morning down the street, in front of the Hotel Pacific - a landscape worker cleaning up fallen autumn leaves with a blissfully quiet, non-polluting, tool that’s seldom seen these days: a rake! Another sighting, just in time for Halloween! I walked by what seemed to be an unoccupied table on the Library’s mezzanine. There was a book on the table, and a backpack tucked underneath the empty chair to suggest that there might be someone sitting there, except that there wasn't anyone there. Then I noticed the title of the book - How to Be Invisible. Okay, it turned out to be a book about how to protect your identity, but sometimes these things give one pause. Have you spotted anything cute, cool or unusual lately?
