Chair Samples

If you stop by the library's local history room, you'll notice some new furniture additions. These are samples of just a few pieces that our interior designer is considering for the new building. Please Note: these are NOT our color or fabric choices!! But you're welcome to come test them out and see what you think!

From left to right: an adult/teen area lounge chair, a chair for study tables, 2 chairs for the youth area.

These chairs don't look comfortable and will look dated and silly in a short amount of time. Are they comfortable? What will the tables look like? The 2 on the right are especially offensive. Thanks.

Hi Jan! Thanks for your comment! The interior designers will be at the library today, and I will give them your feedback. Library staff tested out all the chairs and found them surprisingly comfortable (and the one on the left was frequently occupied by patrons during its time in the local history area). The 2 chairs on the right are bound for the youth department, and Joa tells me that the samples have gotten lots of compliments. (Although, again, those are not the final colors!) You are welcome to come to the library and try them out for yourself! (The black, white, and red ones are still here.)
