To help celebrate Children's Book Week (May 12-18), the Children's Choice Book Awards were announced on May 14th. This year's children's choices are:
Kindergarten-2nd Grade Book of the Year: Frankie Stein by Lola M. Schaefer
3rd-4th Grade Book of the Year: Big Cats: Hunters of the Night by Elaine Landau
5th-6th Grade Book of the Year: Enyclopedia Horrifica by Joshua Gee
Illustrator of the Year Award: Ian Falconer, Olivia Helps with Christmas
Author of the Year Award: J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
