“I know this seems a long time for the branch to be closed,” says Leslie Massey the director of CCPL, “but the repair process requires the Library to remove 150,000 items in the library collection, shelving, furniture, computers and workroom items in order to replace and repair carpeting and flooring, and then it must all be moved back in and put back into order before the branch can re-open.”
While the Milford-Miami Township Branch is closed the drop boxes will remain open and emptied daily. All Milford-Miami Township Schools have been notified of the branch closing so that teachers can request special collections of books and materials for use in their classrooms during the month of May. These collections must be picked up by the end of April; and anyone interested in having such a collection should contact the Milford-Miami Township Branch at 248-0700.
Customers are being encouraged to visit nearby branches in Union Township at 4462 Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Rd, Cincinnati (513-528-1744), Goshen at 6678 State Route 132 (513-722-1221) and Owensville at 2548 U.S. Route 50 (513-732-6084).
Those with questions regarding closing and repair work to be done at the Milford-Miami Township Branch may call (513) 732-2736 or visit the website for updates: www.clermontlibrary.org.
