Coding Club (Grades

Starting in 2024, we're teaming up with Fiero Code to bring a coding club to the library for grades 6-12. Fiero Code is a self-guided online software program that teaches you how to code through hundreds of coding tutorials and dozens of real-world projects. Learn Javascript, HTML, Python, CSS and more.

Dungeons and Dragons

Join us once a month for our in-person Dungeons and Dragons campaign for grades 5 and up. This campaign will be Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos. Anyone is welcome to join at any time but joining after September you will need to arrive with a character pre-made. Registration is required.

ToshoCon 2024

Toshokan: the Japanese word for "library." ToshoCon: a mini-convention for anime and manga fans in grades 6-12. Featuring cosplay and art contests with prizes, panel discussions, candy sushi-making, anime trivia, and more!  To enter the Anime Art Contest, be sure to register for ToshoCon first. Bring your hand-drawn art (on a single piece of paper, not in a sketchbook) or a printed copy of your digital art with you to ToshoCon. 

Registration and a permission slip is required for this free after-hours event.You can pick up your permission slip at the Hudson Library's Children's Desk.  In partnership with the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, this event will be held here at the Hudson Library and Historical Society.

Learn about animals with Nora the Explorer! Come see furry and scaly animals up close…and maybe even touch them! This is a family event for all ages. Registration is required. This program will be held in the flood room.

Teen Art Celebration
Monday, Jul. 1

Get creative at home! Draw or paint on paper (including cardstock or construction paper), a canvas, or poster board. Bring in your finished design to the teen room between Monday, July 1 and Saturday, July 27.

We will display your artwork (like an art show!) in the teen room until August 19. You may pick up your artwork to take back home from August 19 to August 31.

This program is for grades 6-12. Registration is required. Please submit one artwork per person. You are responsible for supplying your own materials.

Create Your Own Adve
Monday, Jul. 8, 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Fans of the “Choose Your Own Adventure” books will love selecting different paths to alter the stories of classic fairytales. Each kid will have the chance to get creative and design their own scene from various materials to make the new tale come to life.

This program is for grades 4-6 and will be held in the flood room. Registration is required. Also, please note that this is a series program. Please try to attend all 3 sessions.
