Through The Eyes of
Through The Eyes of the Artist: Georges Seurat
Hudson Library & Historical Society

Wednesday, Apr. 24, 10 a.m.
or call (330) 653-6658.
The library continues its series of artist biographical lectures when art historian Felicia Zavarella Stadelman discusses the French post-Impressionist artist Georges Seurat. Seurat’s technique for portraying light using tiny brushstrokes of contrasting colors influenced many of his contemporaries, including Van Gogh, Gauguin and Lautrec. Attendees will be given an informative postcard that includes facts about the artist’s life.

Stadelman, inspired by her enthusiasm for art, has dedicated her career to sharing the fascinating details of the lives and works of some of our most recognized and influential artists. “Through the Eyes of the Artist” was a series originally created by Stadelman with a grant provided by the Cleveland Museum of Art to help bring art into the lives of children. It has evolved into a program for all ages to provide a deeper insight into the enigmatic appeal of some of our favorite artists. Register for this free program online or call 330.653.6658 x1010.
