The Afternoon Book Club, on Thursday March 28th at 1:00pm is featuring the book Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant? by Roz Chast. This month’s book club is part of our National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read programming! Programming sponsored by Arts and Culture El Dorado. We will explore Chast's memoir using a set of questions to guide our discussion, looking at the way Chast interweaves her parents' experiences growing up, how those shaped their adult relationships, and Chast's own conflicted emotions in becoming their caregiver. But we'll also follow your lead and let the conversation flow!
