Vermicomposting with the Master Gardeners at the Modesto Library

Let's kick off the summer with a family-friendly (and fun!) gardening class based on vermicomposting. Vermicomposting is the process of using red wiggler worms (not the same as earthworms) to eat kitchen fruit and vegetable scraps. The compost can then be used in houseplants or in the garden. Attendees can view a worm bin and observe the process firsthand.
