Join us for an afternoon of creative writing as we explore poetry, storytelling, and imaginative writing prompts inspired by this year’s Summer Reading theme, Plant a Seed, Read! Participants will have the chance to write, share ideas, and discover new ways to express themselves through words.

Participants will create colorful coffee filter and tissue paper flowers, design their own flower pens, and explore other flower-themed crafts inspired by this year’s Summer Reading theme, Plant a Seed, Read!

Join us at the Scotland Public Library for a Plant Exchange. Participants are encouraged to bring healthy houseplants, garden plants, rooted cuttings, seeds, or gardening-related items to swap with fellow plant enthusiasts.

Join us on the second Tuesday of each month for a hands-on session where participants can design, build, and explore using a variety of materials. Each month may feature a different challenge or theme to spark your imagination.

Celebrate the beauty of seeds, flowers, and growing things with a special summer storytime. We’ll share stories, songs, and activities inspired by gardens and nature as we wrap up our “Plant a Seed, Read!” Summer Reading season.

How do seeds travel from place to place? In this interactive program, participants will discover the amazing ways that plants spread their seeds through wind, water, animals, and more.

The Creature Containment: Dinosaur Passport Program is coming to an end! If you’ve been collecting stamps throughout the summer, be sure to return your completed Creature Containment booklet to the Scotland Public Library by Friday, August 21, 2026.

Join us for our monthly Zine Making Class, held on the last Friday of each month at 4:00 PM! A zine is a small, self-made magazine where you can share your ideas, art, stories, and creativity. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to design and create your own zine from start to finish.
