At each meeting of the Preteen Book Club, preteens aged 9 through 12 years discuss the month’s book with each other and a Children's staff member. Preteens should have all or most of the month’s book read before attending book club.

This program requires prior registration as it will utilize GoToMeeting.  Participants will be emailed a link to attend on the day of the program. 
Sign up by visiting or calling the South Regional Library Children's Desk (936-442-7727 ext 6363). The first 5 preteens to sign up receive a free copy of that month’s book (one book per family). Signup opens on the following dates:

  • January 14th book club - sign up begins November 19th
  • February 25th book club - sign up begins January 15th
  • April 8th book club - sign up begins February 26th
  • May 20th book club - sign up begins April 9th
