Join the discussion of The Library Book, author Susan Orlean's dazzling love letter to libraries.  After moving to Los Angeles, Orlean became fascinated with the unsolved arson fire of 1986 that did untold damage to the LA Public Library. She uses that event to focus upon the institution of our libraries, their history, their meaning, and their future. She delves into the crucial role that libraries play in our lives.  This book has been chosen for the Fall 2019 Gulf Coast Reads.

Any adult is invited to attend and refreshments will be served.  For more information, please contact Jackie Greene, Reference Librarian, at jgreene@countylibrary.org or at 936.442.7728, ext. 6314.
