Coping With Dementia: Strategies for Families

A Power Point presentation by Diane Davis, RN (Yale), MS-Nursing, describes the stages of dementia, the patient characteristics and problems arising within each stage, and appropriate coping strategies for family care givers.  Resources for care giving are also reviewed. Former longtime geriatric case manager for individuals with dementia and their families at the Adler Geriatric Assessment Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Diane now works as Outreach and Education Coordinator for Yale Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. She is an Alzheimer's Association volunteer and chair of the New Haven Walk to End Alzheimer's. Time for questions follows.
