SLT - RUFF (Read Up
Wednesday, Jun. 5, 4:30 - 5:30 pm
Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe’s reading program, RUFF (Read Up For Fun) is designed to build self esteem in young readers. Trained volunteers bring their dogs into the library where children will read to the dog. The dog provides a comforting audience perfect for allowing children a safe atmosphere to practice their reading skills. Join us on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30 - 5:30 pm for an opportunity to Read Up For Fun!

Kids of all ages are invited to enjoy the magical stylings of Magician Brian Scott!
This interactive show brings the world of books to life with a combination of magic, comedy, and pure fun!

Everyone is invited for a fun and interactive Storytime, followed by some hands-on activities. Plus, there will be snacks, and a free book for anyone who signs up for the Summer Reading Challenge.

EDH - Wild Things An
Thursday, Jun. 13, 10:00 am
Conservation Ambassadors provide a worldwide voice to wildlife by providing a permanent, loving home for displaced, abused, abandoned or permanently injured wild and exotic animals. Sharing these animals through the Wild Things outreach program with school children and learners of all ages is meant to educate them about conservation, connect them to the wild world, and inspire them to protect the planet. This show is roughly 50 minutes long.

Open to all ages with no tickets required! This event will be taking place outside the library on the lawn by the pond. Patrons are encouraged to bring folding chairs and/or blankets.

Please note that in order to ensure the happiness and wellbeing of the animals, Conservation Ambassadors do not guarantee the presence of any specific animal at the show.
