AUGUST 20, 2012
Voter Information
Just over a month remains before the October 9th deadline for voters to register and update their voter information before the 2012 Presidential Election.
As of August 9, registered voters in Ohio are now able to use a new online service that for the first time allows them to update their voting address online. This new tool, accessible at MyOhioVote.com, is a convenient way for voters to meet their primary responsibility: to be registered at their current address 30 days before an election. Every Ohioan who is old enough to vote will be able to take advantage of this new system. For those who do not have home computers, the Library offers free Internet access and our librarians can provide assistance.
The Secretary of State's intent, by enabling Ohioans to update their information online, is to reduce manual data entry at Ohio’s boards of elections, which will save tax dollars and improve the accuracy and security of Ohio’s voter rolls.
