Creating a Cottage Style Garden
2 West Main Street
Tuesday, Jul. 15, 7pm

Do you dream of a lush, colorful informal garden filled with old-fashioned flowers?  Then Cottage Gardening is for you!  The charm of a cottage style garden is characterized by the profusion of plants, color, fragrance, and a little bit of whimsy. Join Master Gardener Diane Lattanzio to learn the essential elements and simple steps needed for you to achieve the look of a cottage garden.

During her 33 years as an elementary special education teacher, Diane shared her passion for plants and love of the outdoors with her young students who mastered math and science skills through many hands-on gardening experiences.  Upon her retirement, Diane enrolled in the Rutgers Master Gardener Program and has been a certified master gardener since 2015.  As a trained volunteer, she currently represents the Morris County Master Gardeners Speakers Bureau presenting talks on a variety of horticultural topics.  Diane is also a member of the Riverview Garden Club, where she assists in maintaining the gardens at a historic museum home and currently serves as Vice President of Programs and Activities.  As a Friend of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Diane volunteers and gives informational talks to home gardeners.
