Cranbury Public Library
Thursday, Jul. 25, 6:30 PM

Jim Peck, a member of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton (AAAP), will give a talk for beginners on looking at and understanding the sky, both at night and during the day. He will talk about relative distances of celestial objects, constellations, the moon, artificial satellites and tracking the path of the sun throughout the year. Jim’s dad, an Air Force  navigator, got him interested in the sky when he was a teenager living in England.

AAAP was started in 1962 so has 50+ years of providing hands-on experiences to enhance members understanding of the astrophysical universe. It manages an observatory located in Washington-Crossing Park in Titusville that has viewing open to the public every clear Friday evening from April 5th to October 25, 2019.
