Monday, May 11, 6:30
Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River and the Battle of Trenton were part of the Ten Crucial Days campaign of 1776. This was a major turning point in the Revolutionary war – this dramatic victory boosted the battered Continental Army’s morale and provided a much needed victory for Washington’s troops – a dramatic victory that boosted the battered army’s morale. This historical lecture program will provide firsthand accounts of the river crossing, the details of the nine-mile march to Trenton, the battle and the impact left behind for us to remember today in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
