Join us on Monday, March 16th at 6:00 p.m. to learn about speech and language development with Mary Pope, MS., CCC-SLP.  Mary has worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist in public schools, private practice and a clinical setting since 1996. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Connecticut Speech-Language Association (CASHA). Mary currently works for the Lyme-Old Lyme school system in the Integrated Preschool Program.  She has a special interest in working with preschoolers and early elementary-aged children with a variety of communication disorders. Through appropriate toys and activities, parents can stimulate their child’s speech and language skills. Come and explore some of the best known toys to encourage speech and language development for the birth-to-five population!

This program is part of an informative and free 4-part series of wellness presentations that are sure to provide you with helpful tools and tips for parenting your young children.  Come to all or just one session.  Sessions will be held at the Brainerd Library in the Children’s Room on the first 4 Mondays of March from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Finger foods and drinks will be available.  Children are welcome! Library Staff and teen volunteers will be on hand to engage your children in fun activities.

This series is offered by H/K Youth and Family Services in partnership with Killingworth and Brainerd Memorial Libraries
