Fairy Houses with Mi
Fairy Houses with Miss Jackie
Cotuit Library

Saturday, May 18, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Come celebrate our 150th by creating a fairy house with local art teacher Miss Jackie!  We will supply shells, stones, twine, twigs, and flowers.

You are welcome to bring your supplies to create the house you envision! Houses will be put on display around the library.

The Cotuit Library was founded in 1874 as the Cotuit Lyceum Society. Its first permanent home was in the present entrance room, a former school house built in 1830 and acquired for the library in 1894. Through the years the library has expanded by various noble extensions.

Lucy Gibbons Morse was instrumental in founding the library. She was an artist, poet, abolitionist, a woman truly ahead of her time. Many of our programs this year were created with Lucy in mind, a woman with a heart for education, diversity, creativity, and community.
