Did you know that every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood? And 1 in 7 entering a hospital will need blood? 
Summer time is the season when the blood banks are at their lowest. We need your help! Please consider donating blood at the Goleta Valley Library on June 18. Vitalant, formerly known as United Blood Services, is running the drive. Expect it to take approximately 1 hour.
All donors will receive a cool, free T-shirt.
Donors must be 16 and up, however 16 and 17 year olds must have signed permission from their parents to do so and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.

Please: Eat within 2 hours of your donation and drink plenty of water
             Bring a photo ID
             Don't volunteer if you have been on antibiotics within the previous 24-48 hours
             Be prepared to list all the countries you have visited within the last 12 months
