Color Your World Art
Color Your World Arts & Crafts for Teens
Pawling Free Library

Wednesday, Jul. 16, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
During this weekly color-themed arts and crafts program, we'll explore color through art projects, crafts and more! For tweens & teens entering grades 5 and up.

Week 1.

Messy Art: Sponge bombs, Flyswatter Painting or Splatter Painting. Make a mess as you create a masterpiece! This week we will be outside in the courtyard. Be sure to wear old clothes!

Week 2.   Color-Changing Slime Sun-Catchers plus Color-Our-World poster!

Week 3. Techniques in Print-Making:  This week we’ll try three simple printmaking techniques: Collagraph printmaking with wooden blocks and Styrofoam, relief printing with tin foil and eraser carvings.

Week 4: Paint and Pass: During this week’s program, you’ll be on a timer! Each of you will start a painting and when the timer goes off, you’ll pass it to the person on your left. They will add to the painting in any way they choose (Be nice!) and so on around the group. Then we’ll see how these collaborative paintings will look!

Week 5. Squeegee Art & Reimagined Book Covers: This week we’ll use squeegees to create colorful abstract artwork. While the paintings dry, you can try digital art to reimagine your favorite book’s cover.

Week 6. Our finale will be Color Wars! Douse each other with color and you’ll become a work of art! This will be held outdoors. Please dress accordingly.
Attend all six weeks or pick and  choose!
