The Important Thing Everyone Should Be Doing Right Now! A Conversation about Advanced Care Planning for Adults
Virtual
Wednesday, Mar. 3, 7:00pm
Ages: 18+
Advanced care planning is a process that supports adults at any age or stage of health in understanding and sharing their personal values, life goals, and preferences regarding future medical care. The goal of advanced care planning is to help ensure that people receive medical care that is consistent with their values, goals and preferences during serious and chronic illness. If the current pandemic has taught us anything, it has reinforced how vulnerable we are and how quickly our health can change. Join Bethell Hospice on Zoom for a conversation about advanced care planning. Learn more about what it involves and how to engage it in. Several key resources will be reviewed so participants can utilize them after the workshop to complete their own advanced care plans. There will also be opportunity to dialogue with the presentation and ask questions. Everyone should be engaging in advanced care planning right now, whether they are healthy or unwell.
