Let's get wild! Sierra Wildlife Rescue is coming to the library with its animal ambassadors on Wednesday, June 4th! Join us to learn about local animals, their habitats, and the conservation work of Sierra Wildlife Rescue. This is a great program for the whole family. Seating is limited, attendance is NOT guaranteed.
Sierra Wildlife Rescue is a nonprofit organization in El Dorado County. Their mission is preserving the wildlife of El Dorado County through public education and the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned native animals. Their education team travels to local organizations and schools with their ambassador animals to share an up close and personal experience, helping to inspire and educate the general public about the wild critters we all share space with.
Ways to Support Sierra Wildlife Rescue's work: Sierra Wildlife Rescue can always use tangible items to care for the wildlife while they rehabilitate, such as:
- paper towels (white only)
- puppy piddle pads
- hand soap/hand sanitizer
- Ziplock bags (pint and gallon)
- copy paper
- facial tissues (unscented only)
- original Dawn dish soap (unscented only)
- 15 & 30 gallon unscented trash bags
- gift cards to Lee’s Feed
