Join us for a multi-day introduction to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) designed to spark curiosity and creativity in students from 3rd to 6th grade. Participants will explore a range of STEM topics through fun, hands-on activities led and supervised by at least two high school seniors. Space is limited, and registration is required for each individual activity—please sign up through our online calendar.
****This program requires that participants bring their own laptop or a chromebook. This will allow them to access the coding website and you will need a keyboard.

Python Programming Workshop participants learn how to program in the Python progamming language. This is a work-at-your-own pace and collaborate with others environment; just bring any questions and stuff you'd like to look at each meeting and we all benefit as a group looking at it.
We have a bunch of coureswork ready to use, including:

Data analysis with "Pandas"

Prerequisite:
Have a google account and log into https://colab.research.google.com/ once ahead of time. We'll use Colab for running python "notebooks" so we can work from any computer and don't need to install anything for the class.

Learn about Sogetsu Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, and create your own flower arrangement in this introductory class taught by Pat Medeiros. All supplies included.
Sogetsu Ikebana is a school of Japanese flower arranging established in 1927. Pat Medeiros has been studying Sogetsu Ikebana with Sogetsu master Kika Shibata since 2010. She has received a teaching credential from the Sogetsu school and has taught and demonstrated Ikebana to children and adults in the Sacramento area.
Register early for this class as seating is limited. Registration closes the day before the event. Please cancel your reservation if you cannot make the class to allow others to join in the fun.
