The Dilemma of Ordi
The Dilemma of Ordinary Families in Hitler’s Germany by Historian and Author David K. Wessel
Virtual Program

Wednesday, Apr. 17, 7:00pm
David will review the ways ordinary German citizens responded to the traumatic changes Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist German Workers Party imposed on their country. One by one they lost their choice of political parties, their liberty to question government policies, their freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and their ability to trust their neighbors. How did they respond?  For the Wessel family of Absecon Highlands, NJ and their relatives in Ahrensflucht, Germany it meant making some very difficult, personal decisions.
Sponsored by Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum.
