Summer nights are short, but it's the time of year when most stargazers venture out under the stars. Temperatures become tolerable and the majestic Milky Way dominates the sky! Few sights in nature can compare with the splendor of a dazzling star-filled sky as seen on a cool, clear summer night. Please join in as Richard Bell takes us on a colorfully illustrated celestial tour of the stars, constellations, and deep sky objects scattered along the disk of our home galaxy, the Milky Way. Learning to navigate the summer skies will be covered as well as the best targets for binoculars and telescopes. Maps will be provided.
