Shorts Out Loud: Mic
Shorts Out Loud: Michael Gregg

Thursday, Jul. 6, 6:00 p.m.
Join the library for the second session of our annual Shorts Out Loud series! This special program is one that the library hosts each year. We have changed the format *slightly* and each evening will now consist of 30 minutes of live music followed by 30 minutes of poetry or short stories read aloud.

For July 6, we are pleased to welcome back Michael Gregg. Michael is a longtime resident of Troy New York, known for his prodigious banjo playing. Michael is a member of Americana/folk band, Zan & the Winter Folk and a sometime guitar and banjo player with the indie folk minimalist vocal trio the Hold on Honeys. Michael has been playing and writing music since childhood, and as an employee of the Troy Public Library enjoys giving back to his community. He will be joined on a few songs by his partner Chloe (also a Troy library employee) who has volunteered to sing a couple of duets.

Our reader for the evening is Rain Whittaker, a Columbia county resident, artist, and poet. She is an avid library supporter and is looking forward to sharing some of her favorite authors with the audience.

This program is free and open to the public. No registration required.
