You are invited to join the Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library for its annual meeting on Monday evening, May 20 at 7pm at the library.
Our speaker will be Marc Mauer, former Executive Director of
The Sentencing Project and author of Race To Incarcerate, who will explore the racial politics that led to the U.S. becoming a world leader in its structure of mass incarceration.
We’ll meet at the library's temporary location on New Hampshire Avenue, 7505 New Hampshire Avenue above the Caribbean Market. Refreshments will be served.
