Roger Phillips Concert Series presents the Hudson Organ Trio

Saturday, Jun. 22, 4:30-5:30pm

In the second installment of our new concert series, The Hudson Organ Trio will play a variety of jazz tunes, including familiar numbers like “Nostalgia In Times Square” by Charles Mingus and “Moanin’ and Dat Dere” by Bobby Timmons. Aidan Samp (percussion), Sean Gallagher (keyboard), and Miles Sweeney (guitar and vocals) are all connected with Bard’s Conservatory of Music.

The concert will be indoors due to the expected heat.

The Hudson Organ Trio is:

Aidan Samp on drums and percussion. Adam, a Bard College grad, is a composer/improviser and drum instructor who performs in the Hudson Valley and Southern California.
Sean Gallagher on keyboard. Sean is a pianist and multi-instrumentalist who has performed in the Hudson Valley for the past 30 years, including with Bard’s The Orchestra Now.
Miles Sweeny on guitar and vocals. Miles is also a Bard grad who performs jazz locally, including his own compositions.

The Roger Phillips Concert Series is a new outdoor summer concert series partnership with Starr Library. All concerts are free and open to the public. This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
