Filmmaking 101: Visual Storytelling with Christine Livesey
Community Room

Wednesday, May 22, 6:30-8pm
Have you ever wanted to break down why the iconic shower scene from Psycho has such visual impact, or wondered about the recurring symbolism in Do the Right Thing? This 90-minute workshop is an introduction to the art of visual storytelling. We'll begin by watching a curated selection of movie clips to learn about the Five C’s of cinematography: close-ups, composition, cutting, camera angles, and continuity. Taught by a film studies college instructor with 20 years of experience, this workshop is for beginning filmmakers, cinephiles, and enthusiasts alike.
