The Rhinebeck Democratic Club is pleased to present Anthony Parisi, Democratic candidate for Dutchess County District Attorney, and Jim Rogers, Dutchess County Family Court Judge, at our first Fall Speakers Series event. This event and Q&A will be followed by a meet & greet.
We can turn Dutchess County blue in 2023.
Here is the math.
In Dutchess County there are roughly 16,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans. However, the county's leadership has been Republican for years. How many years? The Republicans have held the County Executive seat for over 30 years, and the District Attorney's seat for 40 years! The Democrats can flex our muscle in the local elections and change that in 2023.
Democrat Anthony Parisi is running for Dutchess County District Attorney.
I'm a law-and-order Democrat. I am going to use a smart approach to reduce crime and prevent crime; intelligence-led policing and intelligence-led prosecution. Essentially what we're looking to do is prevent future crime, not just react to it.
Democrat Jim Rogers is running for Dutchess County Family Court Judge.
Dutchess County Family Court is failing to meet the goals of the child welfare system which is to Keep Families Together. This is a problem that cuts across partisan lines. We can and will do better, a lot better by our children.
The differences between these candidates and their Republican opponents could not be starker. Jim and Anthony are committed to serving everyone equally, and that includes people of color, the disenfranchised and the poor.
