Tech Discovery Workshop: Ancestry: Library Edition

Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2:00pm
Delivered in simple, easy-to-understand language, our monthly, one-hour “Tech Discovery” workshops are designed to help community members increase their skills and knowledge in information technology. These workshops are held in the Program Room of the Tillsonburg Library and will appeal to community members that prefer in person learning.

August 2022 topic: Ancestry: Library Edition (Tuesday, August 30th at 2pm). Discover the world of family tree research using Ancestry: Library Edition, the online genealogy resource you have access to here at the Oxford County Library! Matthew, the Tillsonburg Library’s digital literacy helper, will explain what kinds of resources Ancestry: Library Edition offers and how they can help you research your ancestors.

Please register online or call the Tillsonburg Library at 519-842-5571 and ask to be registered for the session. You are encouraged to bring your own laptop; the library has laptops available but only a few. Participation is also possible without any computer or device. Note that this workshop is for Ancestry: Library Edition, not the home version of Ancestry which is a different resource. For more information, contact Matthew at mgriffis@ocl.net.
