Friday, Jul. 10, 2:30-3:30pm (Fridays, July 10, 17, 24, 31)
Brought to us by the Berkshire museum's educators, the "Be a Chemist"! program invites children ages (approx) 7-11 to play the role of chemists and discover the importance of chemistry in fields as varied as medicine, manufacturing, art, and environmental conservation. The ZOOM sessions encourage students to practice scientific techniques and explore basic principles of chemistry as they investigate these questions:
▶ How do substances change and interact with each other?
▶ How do chemists use these changes and interactions to solve real-world problems?"
Science project kits will be available for pick up at the library before the session. Students sign up for all four sessions at Berkshire Museum."Can I sign up still if we missed some sessions?" Deadline is noon Monday for that Friday's program. You'll automatically be enrolled in remaining sessions.
