Summertime means Squishmallow Sleepover for the library! The 3rd annual squishmallow sleepover is a fun event. Children will bring a squishmallow or any other stuffed animal (stuffies) to a big kid storytime complete with crafts, games, and ending with a story. Then we'll tuck our little guys in for the night, not that they'll stay asleep for long, michevious little things stuffies are. Only the stuffies are sleeping over, humans are not allowed. Ms.Heather will watch them for a while to see what they get up to, maybe takes some funny pictures, but then the stuffies will be in the hands of our chaperone squishmallow. Stop by the next day to pick up your child's friend and be sure to leave your email address in the registration form, that way you get pictures of the fun! We dress up in pjs (optional) and your stuffies may bring a blankie or other bedtime item. Last year someone brought a whole mini mattress for their squishmallow, haha!
please don't bring your child's favorite bedtime buddy, we have not yet lost a friend, but we have heard about difficulty with bedtime routines once the kids have gone home. This is for all age children who want to participate, the best age will be 4 - 10 years old. Registration is required, this helps not only with the planning, but also for accounting for all our stuffie friends to make sure they get home safe.
