BookBuggs is a casual book review group for people who love to read and want to discover more great books to check out. The group gathers on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. in the Haskell Homestead Room to share opinions and reviews of recently read novels and nonfiction. Come prepared to share information and insights about one or two books (new or old) and to engage in friendly discussions with fellow readers. Most participants bring along a notebook for recording titles and authors that interest them. New members are always welcome! For more than 20 years, Sarah Cody has been sharing stories about interesting places and inspiring people throughout Connecticut. At News Channel 8 (WTNH), Sarah serves as the weekend morning anchor, and produces and reports two weekly segments: "8 Things To Do This Weekend" and "Connecticut Families".
Sarah will be joining us at the library to present her recently published book "Around Every Corner of Connecticut: 100 Towns to Explore Every Season". Learn about some incredible things to do in our own state such as taking a llama for a hike, spying a majestic bald eagle sitting in a tree on the banks of the Connecticut River, or taking a sleigh ride through a snowy pasture!
